Commuting to Cordova – not an easy task!
Leaving town is a bit more of an ordeal when you live in a place that is only accessible by plane or boat. That’s why most folks don’t leave here but once or twice a year, if at all. Imagine not leaving your town (even if it’s just to go to the next town over) for a whole year. That would be like living in Minneapolis and never, ever going to St. Paul.
So, when I go on a little trip, even if it’s just to Anchorage, I revel in it. It makes you appreciate the little things that make travleing what they are: lack of sleep, lines, sore shoulders from carrying too many bags, bad hair, and of course… Skymall! For those of you unfamiliar, Skymall is a gadget catalog that most people use for a coaster under their glass of iced orange juice or in-flight cocktail. But I LOVE SKYMALL! The entertainment value of it far surpasses any in-flight movie or Dig-e-player.
